The first single-varietal Bacchus from Leornian Wines, made from fruit grown in Wantage in Oxfordshire.
Harvested by hand on 7th October 2025 and whole-bunch pressed that afternoon before being cold-settled for 2 days. The juice was then moved to two old French oak barrels for fermentation, where it also naturally underwent malo-lactic fermentation and was left to settle over winter. Bottled in April 2026 by hand, unfined and unfiltered, with 584 finished bottles.
Being barrel-fermented, this is not your usual Bacchus - this is a more textured and food-friendly style, with freshness and complexity taking centre stage over overt fruitiness.
